Doris Yam

Doris Yam is a Master candidate in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education at the University of Toronto. She is a Personal Training Specialist certified by Canfitpro. In the past, Doris has practiced as a Student Therapist in the Varsity Football, Field Hockey and Basketball Team at the David L. MacIntosh Sport Medicine Clinic and a Fitness and Performance Coach and Personal Trainer in the Sport & Rec Department at the University of Toronto.

Doris started  started working with SPARK Lab since April 25th, 2020 and is supervised by Dr. Virginia Wright. She assisted with the Danish Challenge Manual and Excel scoring sheet, Trexo project, Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Lokomat project and Prosthetic Upper Limb Functional Index (PUFI-2). She is interested in the field of Adapted Physical Activity and Exercise as Medicine and aiming to improve the lives of kids with disability through enhancing advance gross motor skills, motor learning and physical literacy development.
