Joanne has distinguished herself as an outstanding leader and change agent, creating impact in a variety of roles since joining Holland Bloorview in 2010. In addition to her clinical background as an occupational therapist and her project management designation, Joanne has held senior roles in collaborative practice, ambulatory care as well as quality, safety and performance. 

Passionate about Holland Bloorview’s academic mission, Joanne has more than a dozen peer-reviewed publications as well as dozens of non-peer reviewed publications and invited talks and is currently in the PhD program at the University of Toronto’s Institute for Health Policy, Management and Evaluation.

Joanne leads with great skill, knowledge and humanity. In all that she does, Joanne brings the worldview of an occupational therapist with a commitment to adapting the environment, creating access and removing barriers. Her wisdom and strength in building relationships are foundational to her approach. Joanne has played a leadership role in countless Holland Bloorview initiatives including multiple cycles of accreditation, the creation of the connect2care client portal, the launch of Schwartz Rounds, the migration to Meditech Expanse, and the introduction of a Family Navigation Hub to support families with complex social needs.
