Chelsea Rauh

Therapeutic recreation assistant

Chelsea Rauh, R/TRO Reg. (TRO Ontario), has been working in the role of a Therapeutic Recreation Assistant on the Complex Continuing Care (CCC) and Complex Transitioning Care Unit (CTC) for over four and a half years. Chelsea loves to sing and share joyful engaged moments with clients and families in recreation and leisure programs that build on skills and engaged participation.

Chelsea is currently working towards a second degree specifically in therapeutic recreation and her designation in TR. Chelsea has been developing partnerships and collaborating to discover innovative ways to support clients to independently engage in recreation and leisure pursuits with accessible technology. She is one of the first to advocate for the integration of the existing research of Tom Chau with practical application for clients, bridging the gap between research and practice that resulted in a Brain Computer Interface (BCI) pilot program in the fall of 2019. Chelsea has over 10 years of experience knitting, crocheting and tatting, and enjoys making both practical knits and amigurumi animals.
