Dr. Michelle Keightley provides Global News with expert commentary on the a new concussion study from St. Michael's Hospital

Dr. Michelle Keightley, lead researcher in the Concussion Research Centre at Holland Bloorview and holder of the Holland Family Research Chair in Acquired Brain Injury, provides expert commentary for Global News on the subject of youth concussion.

Dr. Keightley commented on the new concussion findings from researchers at St. Michael's Hospital, cautioning that we need to pay more attention to the effects of head injuries on youth. Dr. Keightley advises that children with concussions often require modification to school and aother activities to allow them time to recover.

Dr. Keightley and the Concussion Research Team offer Concussion Education Sessions, which provide general concussion information, resources and education. Children and youth under 18, and their parents, can sign up for education sessions by visiting the Concussion Research Centre website.
