Infinite Possibilities 2007-2012: Strategic Plan

Help us shape the future for children with disabilities and their families

What makes us different, original, cutting-edge? In a word, unconventional?

It could be a neckband that translates a child’s sounds into computer clicks; a program that integrates music into medicine; or a clinical trial to see if the hormone Oxytocin improves social skills in teens with autism.

Our staff and volunteers stand out in the creativity and commitment they bring to empowering children with disabilities and their families. And they don’t go unnoticed. Bill and Susanne Holland have just donated a record $20 million to our organization. “When I walked in there the first time I was blown away by the kids,” Bill says. “But then seeing the volunteers and staff and the heart and soul they put into their job, that’s remarkable.” In total, the Holland family has donated $26.2 million.

In recognition of the Hollands’ extraordinary contribution, we are adding the Holland name to our name. Bloorview Kids Rehab is now Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital.

How do we measure up?

To track our overall performance, we have rated our performance in a report card called How we Measure Up. The indicators found in the report were ranked by a committee of external reviewers made up of community partners, stakeholders, board advisors and family members.  As we continue in our efforts to create a world of possibilities for kids with disabilities using Infinite Possibilities as our guide, we will track our performance using this scorecard.
