Student Opportunities: Kimel Family Graduate Student Scholarship in Paediatric Rehabilitation

Introduction

The Kimel Family Fund has made available for 2011-2012 the Kimel Family Graduate Student Scholarship in Paediatric Rehabilitation award in the total amount of $20,000 (for September 1, 2011 to August 31, 2012).

Award

The award is comprised of $20,000 (CDN), for one year, and is not renewable.

Eligibility

The award is open to all University of Toronto registered graduate students (Masters or PhD), normally in the Faculty of Medicine. There are no restrictions based on citizenship or status in Canada or year of study.

Terms and Conditions of the Award

The award holder must be registered in the eligible graduate (Masters or PhD) program for at least 14 weeks of any term for which they hold the award. Repayment of the award is required if a student is registered fewer than 14 weeks in any term, or withdraws from the program. Awards are automatically used to pay the student’s outstanding tuition fees (from previous year).

Acknowledgement

Award recipients are expected to acknowledge in all presentations and publications that their research was supported by a graduate award The Kimel Family Graduate Student Scholarship in Paediatric Rehabilitation Award from the Bloorview Research Institute, the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation and the University of Toronto. Recipients will be requested to write a thank you letter to the donor.
