Science & Ethics Review: Bulletin Board Postings for Researchers

Researchers who would like to post recruitment flyers at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital must follow the guidelines and procedures below:

All flyers need to be approved by the Research Ethics Board (REB).

Flyers must:

  • Be signed by the Chair of the REB [1]
  • Have the posted and removal date clearly visible on the flyer
  • Be posted for only 3 weeks at a time [2]
  • Use either Verdana or Georgia font
  • Be attached to the bulletin boards using Velcro.  Pushpins, thumbtacks and tape are not permissible
  • Be put in a plastic sleeve if a flyer will be posted on the 4W elevator board

Flyers can be posted on the following bulletin boards:

  • 0W elevators
  • 1W elevators, on the General Information board
  • 2W elevator, on the Information for Families board
  • 2nd floor, south hall, on the Reserved for Holland Bloorview Researchers board
  • 4W elevators, on the Research Participants Recruitment Flyers board 

It is the responsibility of the researcher to post, maintain and remove flyers. 

Flyers that do not meet the above requirements will not be approved for postings.

Flyers that are posted outside of the designated areas and/or do not meet the above requirements will be removed without notification.

The Chair of the REB will sign flyers once all revisions have been made in response to the comments from the REB meeting.  The signed flyers will be included in the Ethics Approval package.  Thereafter any changes made to a flyer must be submitted as an amendment.

If you would like a flyer to be posted for longer than three weeks, you must create a separate flyer for each 3-week period.
