Holland Bloorview Robotics

The robots are back!

Designed to inspire young minds withimaginative play and encourage skill building, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital has partnered with FIRST Canada to construct a unique, inclusive, and interactive program to introduce children and youth with disabilities to technology and robotics.

The program will open new opportunities for kids to engage in a ground-breaking robotic LEGO experience. Through the program, children and youth will develop and refine decision making and socialization skills, all while making friends. The program is led by Holland Bloorview staff, Holland Bloorview's research institute's engineers, and FIRST Robotics Canada staff in a group environment with individualized support available.  

The Junior programs (Level I and Level II), children aged 6-9 years takes place each Wednesday, starting on May 2, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and continues for six-weeks. Dates of program:  May 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, June 6.  Pre-requisite:  None required

The Intermediate programs (Level I and Level II), children aged 10-14 years takes place each Sunday, starting May 6 from 10:00 a.m. -  12:00 noon and continues for six weeks.  Dates of program: May 6, 13, 27, June 3, 10, 17. Pre-requisite: None required for Level 1.  Pre-requisite for Level II:  Intermediate Level I

Program fee: $60 ($10 per session/6 sessions).
