Integrated Education & Therapy

Integrated Education and Therapy provides therapy services to children in a classroom setting in the Bloorview School at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. The children range in age from 4 to 7 years.

The Integrated Education and Therapy team consists of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapy assistants and physiotherapy assistants. This team is very well integrated with the school’s team of teachers, teachers’ assistants and other school staff. Therapy is provided within the school setting.

Children who are registered clients of Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital living within a reasonable distance from Holland Bloorview can access this service. They must also be able to benefit from therapy as well as the educational curriculum.

School bus transportation is provided to the Bloorview School by the home school board.

Referrals

A referral is required to access this service and it must be received by January 31 of the year the child is starting school.
