Rehab & Complex Continuing Care:
Specialized Orthopedic & Developmental Rehab

The Specialized Orthopedic and Developmental Rehab (SODR) team provides care to clients from birth to age 18 with a variety of musculoskeletal, developmental or neuromotor conditions. 

The children and youth admitted to the SODR team have significant functional mobility and movement impairment related to the musculoskeletal system.

For some families, this program assists them to acquire the skills and support services that they need to care for their child as they transition to life in community.  For other clients who have been admitted for rehabilitation (often post-surgical), the team will assist the client in moving forward through the process to help them become as independent as possible.

SODR offers inpatient, day patient and limited outpatient services.  Outpatients are seen in the areas of amputee and rheumatology.

Referrals

Physician referral required.
