Rehab & Complex Continuing Care: Brain Injury Rehab

Family Support Service

The Family Support Service is a community-based service for youth and young adults (16 to 25 years old) with an acquired brain injury and their families.

Team members include:

  • a psychologist,
  • family therapist, and
  • social workers.

Services include:

  • Counselling and education to deal with the changes after the brain injury
  • Help in choosing community programs and services
  • Support in dealing with personal issues, relationships, school, work, and life issues related to the brain injury
  • Skill-building and support groups
  • Transition to adult services

Consultation, education and workshops are also available to professionals and organizations that work with people with brain injury.

Referrals

Anyone can make a referral.
