The Electronic Aids to Daily Living (EADL) Service provides assessments, technology recommendations and training for equipment to maximize independence in many areas of daily living, including the use of telephones, call bells, lights, home entertainment equipment (for example, television, stereo), door openers, cell phones, and more.
The EADL staff provide physical and functional assessment, equipment trials, and technology prescriptions and recommendations. The team considers the integration of the client’s electronic aids to daily living needs with mobility, augmentative communication, and writing aids when planning access to technology. When required, a visit to the home is arranged to ensure that recommendations are appropriate to the home environment.
Clients of all ages and abilities are eligible for our services.
Request for service may be made by an individual, family member, caregiver or a professional.
