Holland Bloorview is delighted to announce that filmpossible - an online video contest where filmmakers are challenged to create a video under two minutes that will bring visibility to disability – is now open and accepting entries.

Aspiring filmmakers of all ages and abilities are encouraged to enter.  Winners will be determined by a panel of celebrity judges and online public voting.  Terrific prizes will be awarded including a first prize of $5000 and Flip Video Camcorders, donated by Cisco.

Films will be reviewed by a jury consisting of an eclectic mix of people who have come together to embrace this important cause, including experts from the film industry, high profile comics, a singer and an acclaimed journalist and author.

Our judges include:

“Let’s change the way the world views childhood disability,” said Christa Haanstra, Holland Bloorview’s Senior Director, Communications and Public Affairs.  “We are looking for videos that bring visibility to disability in interesting ways.  Consider showing changes we can make, celebrating achievements, demonstrating inclusion or dispelling myths surrounding childhood disability.  Show us your creative twist on bringing visibility to disability – and help create a better world for children with disabilities.”
