Best Practice Spotlight Organization Candidate
"Knowledge in Motion”

Holland Bloorview is one of 16 health-care organizations participating in the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario’s (RNAO) Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO) candidacy program. Funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, the program focuses on making a positive impact on patient care in the province by evaluating and implementing internationally recognized nursing best practices.

Now in its third year, at Holland Bloorview, we are on track for completion in April 2012. Holland Bloorview is implementing four RNAO Best Practice Guidelines, check out our progress in these areas:

• Supporting and strengthening families through expected and unexpected life events
• Client centred care
• Assessment and management of pain
• Collaborative practice among nursing teams guideline

We’ve had the opportunity to present our work at numerous conferences across Canada and the United States.
