Inspired to dream
Megan would love to meet Miley Cyrus one day because “she inspires me to keep on doing what I dream to do!”
Miley Cyrus is not the only person who inspires eleven-year-old Megan, her mother is equally as positive, “It was a matter of giving Megan the message that she could do everything she wanted to, that everyone has differences, and that you can be okay with this,” says mother Gillian.
Megan came to Bloorview Kids Rehab for myoelectrics for a prosthetic hand, as she was born missing her left hand. She sees an occupational therapist and has been coming to Bloorview’s swimming program since she was six months old.
“My favorite activities are horseback riding and guitar hero and I dream of being an equestrian some day,” says Megan.
