It was a tragic car crash that left Holly a paraplegic and ultimately led her to Bloorview. At Bloorview, a multidisciplinary team worked round the clock to put Holly back on the road to physical recovery and made sure Holly’s emotional readjustment wasn’t allowed to take a back seat along the way. Focusing on non-medical rehabilitation, Bloorview’s Child Life and creative arts therapists brought an invaluable sense of optimism to the journey.
Today, Holly is studying psychology at the University of Toronto. She loves to drive around town and occasionally plays tennis. She also works as a camp counselor in the summer.
