Gregory
Bloorview is my Heart
When you ask Gregory what Bloorview Kids Rehab has meant to him over the years, he says, “Bloorview is my heart.”
Volunteering at Bloorview for close to 15 years, Gregory shares how he has used all the services Bloorview has to offer, except for prosthetics. Volunteering is his way of saying thank you.
“It’s the best program you guys have going here ’cause you treat your volunteers with respect,” Gregory says, “I used to be a brat, but now I’ve realized how much Bloorview has helped me grow up.”
Now 32, Gregory has been coming to Bloorview since he was four, when it was called The Ontario Crippled Children’s Centre. When not volunteering at Bloorview, Gregory’s favorite activity is following politics in the media.
Today, you can see Gregory moving around the building in his power chair and hear his booming voice from a distance, “The biggest strength I have is my voice and my outgoing personality,” says Gregory, “Bloorview has helped me achieve that.”
