When Bill and Susanne Holland visited Bloorview Kids Rehab, they brought their daughter with them to show her how Bloorview Kids Rehab makes a difference in the lives of children with disabilities. Subsequent to their visit, and in a generous display of support of our vision to become a national and international resource, Mr. Holland pledged a gift to the Defy Disability campaign, in the amount of $5 million.
Bill explained “When my family and I toured Bloorview, I couldn’t decide which I found more compelling- the children who were dealing with disability in so many different ways or the professionals who were so dedicated in their work with them. I’ve seen many healthcare organizations up close and this is one I’m pleased to support because it works.”
Bill and Susanne Holland have played a leadership role in the campaign. The Holland Family has helped to enable children with disabilities and their families to lead richer and more independent lives.
