Vito Bigioni is a Dad on a mission! His goal is to raise $1 million for Holland Bloorview’s respite care programs. Vito is the father of Emily, a young girl who was born with a brain condition known as pachygyria, which is similar to cerebral palsy. The Bigioni family have been coming to Holland Bloorview for 13 years and use many of the respite care programs. Even though Emily doesn’t communicate verbally, her father knows she loves to come to Holland Bloorview.

Emily has attended numerous programs over her life at Holland Bloorview. Every single one of these programs allows her to grow artistically, socially, physically and mentally. Vito is committed to raising awareness about the importance of respite and continues to fundraise for his ambitious goal of raising $1 million for The Emily Bigioni Endowment Fund to ensure respite care programs at Holland Bloorview are funded in perpetuity.
To date, Vito has raised over $800,000 and has launched the Raffle for Respite to help him meet his goal. Raffle tickets are on sale now $20 each or 3 for $50. Only 5,000 tickets are available. Draw will be held on Friday, July 16th, 2010 at 9:00 p.m. Winners will be notified.
