2008 Reprodux Day at the Races

Robbie

On June 22nd, 2008 more than 100 people came out to celebrate the 2nd Annual Reprodux Day at the Races in support of Bloorview Kids Rehab!  Bloorview is Canada’s largest children’s rehabilitation hospital for kids with disabilities.

This year’s fundraising event took place during the running of the prestigious 149th Queen’s Plate and attendees enjoyed the race with a gourmet lunch served with bubbling champagne and an alluring silent auction.

The star and inspiration of this annual event is Robbie.  Robbie is a dynamic nine year old who loves kidding around.  He was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at three months old and has benefited from a number of Bloorview’s programs and services.

This year’s event raised $70,000 for Bloorview.  Money raised will help fund Bloorview’s programs and services, innovative research and technology, respite care, life skills programming, medical training, and adapted equipment to enable children with disabilities to achieve their personal best.

Thanks to Reprodux, Kim Long and Dan Hemming for making this event possible and to all the volunteers, generous donors, sponosors and participatants for making this an event such a success!
