Bowling at O’Connor Bowl for Bloorview Kids Rehab

On Saturday June 7th, 2008, the 3rd Annual Emily Grace El Raheb Memorial Bowling for Bloorview fundraiser took place at O’Connor Bowl.  Bloorview Kids Rehab is Canada’s largest children’s rehabilitation hospital for children with disabilities.

The annual 5-pin bowling fundraiser is held in memory of Emily Grace El Raheb who was born with Cerebral Palsy.  Over the few short years of her life, Emily and her family used a number of the programs and services offered at Bloorview.  Sadly, on June 18, 2004, Emily passed away.  Her family knew the important role Bloorview played in Emily’s life so they wanted to host an annual fundraising event to ensure other children will have the opportunity to benefit from Bloorview’s programs and services.

This year’s fundraiser helped raise over $4,200.00 for Bloorview’s Nursery School.  Money raised will help purchase therapeutic and adaptive equipment to enable children with disabilities to achieve their personal best.
