On Monday, January 28th, 2008, Danny Dichio of the Toronto FC, Toronto’s soccer club, presented a cheque to Bloorview for $11,800. Danny and six of his Toronto FC teammates visited Bloorview last summer and had a great time playing games and doing activities with the kids.
Danny was deeply inspired by the kids and the work done at Bloorview so he decided to auction off his famous boots in support of Bloorview. These boots scored the first-ever goal for the Toronto FC on May 12th, 2007.

Danny presented his famous boots, along with an autographed seat cushion and a certificate of authenticity to Robert Stevens. Robert, clearly a big Toronto FC fan, was the top bidder in the auction held last October.
