Medical/Clinical Psychology Internship/Student Placements

The primary goal in offering the internship is to train future psychologists who are competent in providing clinical services to children and their families.  Using a mastery model of training, interns gain experience with diverse health-care issues, and have opportunities to work with children with medical diagnoses not often encountered in other settings.

Furthermore, the internship program provides training in broad-based skills of assessment, consultation and treatment that can be readily generalized to other populations, including typically developing children who may be referred to psychology services in school boards or other community agencies.
