As Vice-President of Programs and Services at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, Diane Savage brings extensive experience from across the health-care sector in overseeing excellence in clinical operations and advancing integration of clinical practice, teaching and research.
She holds Adjunct Lecturer status with the Factor Inwentash Faculty of Social Work at the University of Toronto.
Since joining Holland Bloorview in 2009, Diane’s roles have included Senior Director, Participation and Inclusion and co-lead for the Centre for Leadership in Participation and Inclusion. Diane also continues to serve as part of the organization’s international health consultation team.
Prior to joining Holland Bloorview, Diane held a range of progressive roles at Mount Sinai Hospital including Director of Social Work, and corporate lead to advance patient access and transition to the community. Diane established the hospital’s first research consortium for Social Work and advanced the Human Rights and Diversity agenda. She has presented and published internationally in clinical practice, diversity in the workplace and safe practices in health care.
In addition, Diane has board governance experience in the not-for-profit sector. Over the past six years, she has served on a range of community boards including the VHA HomeHealth Care- a key provincial agency delivering home supports to adults and children with complex needs.
Recognized for her strategic aptitude, passion for excellence and sense of humour, Diane seeks to build authentic partnerships to support the delivery of integrated and coordinated care for all.
Diane holds a Masters in Social Work from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan (USA) and is a registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
