Recall of Nexus I, II and III Walkers

Mobility products manufacturer, Dana Douglas Inc., has initiated a voluntary recall of certain Nexus I, II and III rollators (walkers) due to a variety of potential health and safety risks.  

Health Canada is advising users to stop using affected walkers immediately and to return the equipment to an authorized dealer for necessary modifications. At Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, we have one Nexus III walker in inventory impacted by the recall. This walker will be modified as instructed. 

This recall does not impact all Nexus walkers – only those with certain serial numbers. The following website can be used to identify whether a specific walker is impacted by inputting the walker’s serial number: http://www.danadouglas.com/notifications.htm. 

Please see the list of authorized Toronto dealers (PDF) or call Dana Douglas Recall at 1 866 770 5065. Repairs will take 15 minutes and there will be no charge for parts or labour.
