Dr. Stephen Naumann – Education – 2002

Stephen’s leadership in attracting and training graduate students reflects a longstanding commitment to Bloorview MacMillan Children’s Centre. As director of rehabilitation engineering, Stephen plays a major role in the graduate education program, which is run in collaboration with the Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Toronto.

During the course of his career so far, Stephen has supervised approximately 20 students who have acquired Master’s degrees in applied science and engineering – several of whom have joined Bloorview MacMillan as staff members on the rehabilitation engineering team.

An active researcher, Stephen has authored and contributed to numerous refereed journals, articles and presentations.

Stephen’s ability to teach and inspire researchers of today and tomorrow ensures that Bloorview MacMillan will continue to explore ways to better enable children and youth with disabilities and their families.
