Patty is an outstanding educator who is seen as a mentor by many of her students. She has the ability to incorporate and draw upon her own experiences, helping bring the theoretical course material to life. Students applaud her expert mastery of her subject area. She challenges them and teaches them to be critical of their own work and treats them with sincerity. She was instrumental in the conception and development of the Occupational Therapy Mentorship Program at Bloorview – a program that supports occupational therapists to implement formalized peer support, facilitating reflective and evidence based practice.
