Marilyn Booth is passionately committed to building a system of services for children. She understands the importance of building partnerships among healthcare organizations and the community to provide a continuum of care for children.
In July 2003, Marilyn was appointed Executive Director of the Ontario Child Health Network. In this role, she works with Ontario’s six pediatric academic hospitals to ensure that children get the right care, at the right place, at the right time.
Marilyn’s leadership has provided other benefits for children. She is one of the founding members of the Canadian Child and Youth
Homecare Network. She developed a successful system of home intravenous care for children by partnering hospital care and community care access centres. Marilyn also led the development of a Pediatric Tele-Home Care Program, providing in-home support to children with complex medical needs and their families.
Marilyn has worked with Bloorview MacMillan Children’s Centre on many endeavours. Most recently, she chaired the committee to integrate Sick Kid’s child development centre and Bloorview MacMillan’s neurodevelopmental program to create the child development program at Bloorview MacMillan.
Marilyn’s organizational and problem-solving skills combined with her vision and passion have made her an excellent advocate for services for children and youth with disabilities.
