The Kinder Foundation – Philanthropy - 2002

“So what do you think Bloorview MacMillan needs?” is a question often asked by the directors of the Kinder Foundation.

Founded by Joe Arfin in memory of his brother, David, the Kinder Foundation’s original objective was to support children’s charities. For the past several years, the Kinder Foundation has been a strong and dedicated supporter of Bloorview MacMillan Children’s Centre.  When Foundation members toured our facility, they were so impressed with the work being done here that they decided that Bloorview MacMillan would be the sole recipient of the Kinder Foundation’s fundraising initiatives. These include golf tournaments and gala events.

The Foundation’s gifts have included two vans to take clients to community outings and events. They have also provided funds for clients to attend camps and are committed as donors for Bloorview MacMillan’s capital fundraising campaign.
