The Grocery Industry Foundation…Together – Philanthropy – 2003

The Grocery Industry Foundation ...Together (G.I.F.T.) began 22 years ago when a handful of Ontario grocery industry leaders decided it was time for their business to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children who needed a hand-up in life. Since then, G.I.F.T. has raised more than $35 milllion to provide a better life for children with special needs.

In 2002, G.I.F.T. generously pledged $5 million dollars to Bloorview MacMillan’s capital campaign. This lead donor commitment will fund the new facility’s Resource and Education Centre. G.I.F.T.’s leading contribution will lend starting momentum and credibility that is essential to the success of Bloorview MacMillan’s large-scale fundraising initiative.

In past years, G.I.F.T. has supported organizations such as Breakfast for Learning, Variety Village, Kids Help Foundation and the Centre for Studies for Children at Risk.

Bloorview MacMillan is proud to acknowledge the work of G.I.F.T and to say “thank you” for enabling us to do more.
