CALL FOR NOMINATIONS 2012

The HollandBloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is Canada’s leading pediatric rehabilitation teaching hospital, dedicated to being at the forefront of clinical care, research and education. 

The Circle of Honour Awards are Holland Bloorview’s highest honour - recognizing outstanding contributions to the field of childhood disability.  Awards are presented to individuals, organizations, teams, or groups in the areas of advocacy, education, research, and service related to children’s rehabilitation and complex continuing care.  Awards are also presented annually by the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation in the area of philanthropy.

Help us decide who should join the Circle of Honour. Nominate a colleague, organization or team for their exceptional contribution to creating a better world for children and youth with disabilities and their families.  We want to hear from you!

Nominations should demonstrate how the nominees have contributed to the advancement of the field of childhood disability on a provincial, national or international level. 

Awards are given the in following categories:

Advocacy: Work that has successfully reduced barriers, changed attitudes, or created more awareness of the cause of childhood disability, children’s rehabilitation or complex continuing care.

Education: Education or teaching efforts that have resulted in building capacity within the field of childhood disability, contributing to the overall advancement of the field.

Research: Producing groundbreaking work that pushes the field of childhood disability research forward.

Service: Providing leadership and innovation in the delivery of service for children with disabilities that extends beyond the nominee’s immediate community.

The nomination deadline is Friday, March 16, 2012.
