Dr. Janet Morrison

Doctor Golda Milo-Manson

Dr. Janet Morrison is the Faculty Executive Officer in the Faculty of Health at York University in Toronto.  In this role Dr. Morrison provides executive leadership in support of the University’s Academic Plan and the Faculty’s Strategic Plan.  Since inception in this role, she has implemented a model of governance, drafted key policy documents, built the organizational structure, developed a planning framework, and hired the leadership team, placing the Faculty of Health in the realm of best practice amongst counterparts at York University.

Dr. Morrison has also served as Faculty Executive Officer in the Faculty of Environmental Sciences at York University, where she ensured the achievement of all administrative objectives related to the FES 2003 Strategic Plan, and was appointed to represent the University as a member of its CUPE Collective Bargaining Team, when the negotiation process was successfully resolved without a labour disruption.  In addition, Dr. Morrison was formerly the Director of Student and Academic Programs in the Faculty of Environmental Studies at York University.

Dr. Morrison holds a Doctor of Philosophy, a Master of Arts in History, a Bachelor of Arts, Specialized Honours, History.  She is presently the Chair of the Board of Directors at the Toronto Children’s Aid Society and sits on the Parent Executive Board at the York University Cooperative Daycare.
