Championing Change: Mental Health

Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital participated in the Mental Health Commission of Canada's public consultation process to provide feedback on their Framework for a Mental Health Strategy for Canada: Toward Recovery and Well-being.

Children with disabilities are at an increased risk of mental health problems. Holland Bloorview felt that it was important that the voice of children with disabilities and their families was heard through this process.

In our feedback, we highlighted the challenges that are faced by children with disabilities and their families in accessing mental health services.
