I work at Bloorview because the families of children, particularly children who have some autism, desperately need a great deal of understanding and help and support and I believe that the expansion of Bloorview’s mandate to serve children with autism is a very important move in terms of trying to provide more adequate services for children and families with autism.
Once you have contact with someone with autism, you are never quite the same again and the families including siblings of affected individuals are absolutely wonderful in terms of how they try to support children and they need all the support they can get from professionals such as those that work at Bloorview.
