I chose to work at Bloorview after visiting a friend here who was on the brain injury floor for some rehabilitation. He got the most amazing care, and his family stayed here on the accommodation suites. They were from out of town and Bloorview was almost like a second family for them. They had such great care here. The nursing staff – all the staff – were so wonderful to them in every way not just in the treatment, but in helping them get adjusted to the city. When you walk into this build you get a sense of magic, it’s a really special place. People really care; people have a high respect for each other.
When I finally got the opportunity to work at Bloorview at first I couldn’t believe it was true and I absolutely jumped at the opportunity, and now that I am here I am really glad to be part of an organization that has such high standards of quality and care.
