About Us

Organizational Accountability: Accessibility Plan

Accessibility is a key priority for Holland Bloorview. Given the nature of the clients we serve, accessibility is foremost in our planning, program development and services.

There is no clearer evidence of Holland Bloorview’s commitment to accessibility than our state-of-the-art facility at 150 Kilgour Road. Our building puts Holland Bloorview at the forefront of accessible design and construction, as many of its features—which are highlighted in our accessibility plan—promote barrier-free thinking at its most progressive.

As a publicly-funded hospital, Holland Bloorview is obligated to develop an annual accessibility plan, as outlined in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

Advancing this legislation is the responsibility of our Accessibility Planning Advisory Committee, a group that represents a cross section of our organization and is responsible for identifying, prioritizing and implementing accessibility plans and programs on an annual basis.
